Is ERCDC Licensed?ERCDC is licensed with the District of Columbia's Office of State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). Our child development center has established learning environments that meet District of Columbia’s Common Core Early Learning Standards and are clean, fun, creative, and student-centered.

Is ERCDC a religious program?We are a developmental program and currently do not offer a religious curriculum. However, children are provided age-appropriate opportunities to enjoy and be inspired by Bible stories, songs, and prayers.

Are there tours available?ERCDC offers both in-person and virtual tours to best meet your needs! If you'd like a tour of our center, please fill out our form here! During your tour, we will introduce you to our center, including classrooms and procedures, and answer any questions you might have! After your tour, we will follow up with additional information to help give you a comprehensive look into ERCDC. We're excited to meet you!

How is ERCDC dealing with the current COVID-19 Pandemic?Please view our COVID-19 Protocol here. While our COVID-19 policy is based around the CDC Community Guidelines, we still complete daily health screenings, practice proper hand hygiene, utilize "yuck buckets" to separate toys to be cleaned, and offer PPE for our staff. All ERCDC staff members are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and we strongly encourage vaccination for our students.

How much is tuition?Infants to 29 months: $2,495/month 30 months and up: $2,395/month

Are there sibling discounts available?Yes, ERCDC provides a ten percent (10%) multiple child discount for enrolled siblings during the same school year. The discount is applied to the child whose tuition is the least. Discounts are only applicable when tuition payments are made on time.

What about food and meals?ERCDC requires parents to provide food for infants six weeks to six months. Included in the child's tuition, we provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack for toddlers, preschool, and Pre-K children, catered by Good Food Co. Infants ages 6-12 months have the option to be included in school meals. Parents should coordinate with ERCDC teachers and admin regarding food preferences for their child. Any parents with concerns about dietary restrictions should discuss with ERCDC Admin to coordinate available accommodations. Breakfast - 8:30am Lunch - 11:30am Afternoon snack - 3:15pm

Will my child be able to nap?ERCDC provides a daily nap schedule (12:30-3:00 pm). If the child does not want to sleep, they are still required to rest.

Do staff administer medications?Yes. A Medication Authorization form signed by the parent/guardian and physician must accompany all medication. Medications should not be mixed in food or drinks. Written authorization from the parent or guardian is also required for application of any topical products. (i.e., lotions, diaper ointment, or sunscreen). We do not administer fever reducers or aspirins.

Is there a dress code?We do not have a dress code. However, children are required to be in seasonably appropriate and comfortable clothing. Children are not permitted to wear open toe, and/or open backed shoes. All clothing items must be clearly labeled with the child’s first and last name (this includes coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots).

Does ERCDC accommodate the use of cloth diapers?Per OSSE guidelines, we will only use cloth diapers for a child if the child’s parent(s) or guardian(s) provides us with a written statement accompanied by supporting written documentation from a licensed health care practitioner, explaining that cloth diapers are required by a special medical circumstance of that child. This statement shall remain in the child’s record at the Facility.

What will I need to pack for my child?Infants: -Bottles or food for the day labeled with days date and child’s first and last name -3 pacifiers (if desired) -Diapers and Wipes (2 weeks’ worth) -Diaper cream (with signed medication authorization form) -3 changes of clothes to be kept at the center -Sleep Sack (if desired) -Crib Sheets (5 sheets per week in Guppies A, 1 sheet per week in Guppies B) *All items must be labeled with the child’s full name Toddlers and Two year olds: -10 face masks in a zip lock bag (for children 24 months old and up. Optional, unless otherwise directed by CDC Community Levels) -Outdoor shoes and indoor shoes (Rubber soled shoes. No slippers, crib shoes, etc. for safety purposes.) -4 sippy cups daily -Diapers and wipes (2 weeks’ worth) -Diaper cream (with signed medication authorization form) -3 changes of seasonal clothes labeled with child’s name to be kept at the center (including socks) -Fitted Sheet and light blanket *All items must be labeled with the child’s full name Preschoolers: -10 face masks in a zip lock bag (Optional, unless otherwise directed by CDC Community Levels) -Outdoor shoes and indoor shoes (Rubber soled shoes. No slippers, crib shoes, etc. for safety purposes.) -3 changes of seasonal clothes labeled with child’s name to be kept at the center (including socks) -Cot Sheet and light blanket *All items must be labeled with the child’s full name

Can my child bring toys from home?We strongly suggest that toys remain at home to prevent loss. If the child has a security blanket or toy, please mark it clearly with the child's full name. ERCDC is not responsible for any items that are misplaced or broken.

Does ERCDC celebrate birthdays?Yes! ERCDC requires that all foods be commercially prepared, nut-free, and brought in the original sealed container with all ingredients listed. ERCDC does not accept home-made food items.
